Lighting in Faith

Done with a large format film camera (view camera) and strobe lighting, this shoot concentrated on the effects of lighting. Notice how the different positions of the lighting highlight different areas on the subject. Dressed in tradition Jewish Orthodox wear, the subject was posed first with a Shofar (ram's horn) and secondly with a Prayer book. I love the highlight that is created on the subjects arm in the second photograph and how it pops from the background with specific lighting techniques.
